Chinees koopt 6,5 ton zout
Een Chinese opportunist dacht zijn slag te slaan uit de angst van zijn landgenoten voor stralingsziekte vanwege de ontplofte kerncentrale in Japan.
De man kocht 6,5 ton zout in toen vorige week de geruchten de ronde deden dat het jodium in het zout bescherming zou bieden tegen stralingsziekte.
Het te verwachten zouttekort zou de prijzen flink doen opdrijven. Daarom kocht de man drie vrachtwagens vol met zout en sjouwde hij de 260 zakken eigenhandig zijn appartement binnen.
Misschien had hij gewoon jodiumpillen moeten halen..
Enkele dagen later maakte de Chinese regering bekend dat er geen gevaar voor straling was, wat de zoutprijs onmiddellijk weer deed zakken. Nu zit de Chinees met een appartement vol zoutzakken die hem bijna 3000 euro gekost hebben.
Omdat hij geen bonnetje meer heeft kan hij de voorraad niet terugbrengen of legaal doorverkopen.

Death-defying mountain trial bike tricks
Eight-time world champion trial bike rider Kenny Belaey performed a series of death-defying stunts on top of South Africa’s iconic Table Top Mountain.
The pro bike rider pulled off these moves 1084m above Cape Town and filmed the stunts for his Bigtime Trial Adventure TV show. In his program, Belaey also performed tricks over people lying on the ground, mountain trial bike-style “parkour” stunts and other tricks on the edge of cliffs.
Alleen maar respect voor deze jongen!
The thought of dying has apparently never crossed Belaey’s mind, as these crazy stunts are what he does for a living.
“Apart from a parachute, no equipment could save you if you fell off the edge,” the 28-year-old said.
TACO RAGE: MAN UPSET AT BURRITO PRICE RISE FIRES SHOTS
SOMEWHERE IN THIS CRAZY WORLD – A Taco Bell drive-through customer who became enraged because of a price increase on Beefy Crunch Burritos fired a BB gun through the window at a manager on Sunday, police said.
No one was hurt from the shots fired by the man, who also waved a pistol and an assault rifle in the parking lot, Police Sergeant Chris Benavides said.
As the restaurant’s employees and customers hit the floor, the manager called police, and when officers arrived, the angry patron fired several shots at the police cars, Benavides said.
The man then barricaded himself inside a nearby motel room, sparking a standoff that lasted until police lobbed tear gas inside and the man surrendered.
Benavides said the burritos had been sold for 99 cents each as a promotion, but the man was apparently angry that the promotion had ended, and the price had gone up to $1.49.

The name of the ‘taco rage’ suspect has not been released because he had not yet been formally charged early Monday. Benavides said that the man will be charged with three counts of attempted capital murder, and that additional charges are possible.
The man never did get his burritos.
